As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw from a variety of modalities and partner with individuals through authentic relating, compassion, curiosity, awareness, self expression, advocacy, and solution building. I work from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective. To learn more about my training and background click here.
I offer an empowerment approach, encouraging clients to take the lead in their therapy process by inviting them to check-in with themselves throughout each session to notice what feels present, true, and real for them in the moment. The session unfolds from there.
I work with people from diverse communities around experiences of depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges with a focus on restoring confidence, self-awareness, and boundaries. I am especially well suited to working with complex trauma (C-PTSD) resulting from past experiences of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse towards rebuilding a sense of trust and safety within yourself. Other areas of my practice include navigating challenges with substances/drugs/medication (harm reduction approach), and supporting those who might identify as having an "invisible illness".
My clients are often creative, introspective, and looking to reconnect with their gifts and skills or seeking new ways to support themselves as they navigate this challenging world we live in.
I consider myself to be a mental health advocate and am invested in de-stigmatizing mental health concerns and challenging normative standards of wellness. I support you to better accept and embrace yourself, honor the challenges you have faced and survived, and bring yourself more fully to the world in a way that makes sense for you.
Feel free to reach out for a 20 minute consultation at no charge to see if we might be a good fit! If for any reason we aren't, I'm happy to support you in finding appropriate referrals and resources in the community.
