As an Integrative Therapist I draw from variety of practical and creative modalities. I work from a strengths-based perspective and my approach is geared towards personal empowerment and self-determination. I have been told my style is down to earth, supportive, authentic, compassionate, non-judgemental, creative, and intuitive.
I strive to create an open and unassuming space by showing up as myself, and by inviting my clients to show up as themselves.
I work with people from diverse communities and my primary focus is symptoms of depression, feelings of hopelessness, and restoring confidence. I also have experience working with trauma and complex trauma, invisible illness (living well with a mental health diagnosis), substance use (harm reduction approach), concurrent disorders (mental health + substance use), emotional eating, and other self soothing behaviors that have become problematic.
The Therapeutic Modalities I use in my practice include Gestalt, Relational Therapy, Solution-Focused Counselling, Body Oriented Therapy (Somatic), Expressive Arts, and Focusing/Parts Work (aka; Internal Family Systems Therapy).
I am committed to providing to the best of my ability:
