Alex coaches because she believes that each person has unique strengths that they are longing to share with the world. Drawing on her 10 years of experience in the corporate world, Alex motivates individuals to navigate work and life challenges.
Alex creates a safe space, where she helps you to dig deep and challenge yourself to take actions in order to live the life you want. Her experience has taught her that coaching is less a change of circumstances and more about a change in mindset.
Alex provides clients with guided insight to discover what really matters to them. Alex helps clients to create a vision, build a plan and take action.
Alex is a member and an Accredited Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. She conducts her practice in accordance with the International Coach Federation Code of Ethics.
Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Honours from Queen’s University. She continues to be a lifelong learner and has taken continuing education classes in positive psychology, mindfulness and human resources.
In her spare time, Alex enjoys running half marathons, doing improv and participating in Toastmasters. Alex previously sat on the Board of Directors at Toastmasters.
Alex strongly believes that personal growth is an adventure. She works on personal growth and goal setting in the present and future. This type of growth is an engaging and energizing adventure that she goes on together with her clients.
I offer Mindfulness Psychotherapy out of my private office in Thornhill to individuals and couples looking for a safe, non-judgmental and calming space to help them navigate through their overwhelming feelings and challenges ( stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and life transitions). I use Mindfulness in my practice to help individuals cope with life’s constant changes, along with other useful modalities such as Talk therapy, Inner child as well as spiritual and energy work.
Our minds easily wander to the past- thinking of situations that have already happened that we wish we could change, or to the future, which brings feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. My approach of using Mindfulness, focuses on the present moment and provides clients with the necessary tools to handle everyday stresses, overwhelming emotions and triggers.
I am committed to your best interest and will stick by you through every step of your journey. My goal is to help you navigate your way through your struggles while learning and growing and propel you forward to how you want to feel, and where you want to be.
My practice has the benefit of being supervised by an experienced Registered Psychotherapist.
