I’ve always been drawn to counselling. Relationships and exploring meaning are central to who I am, and I feel like counselling is a natural extension of what I value most.
I care deeply for others and I’m continually inspired by people’s strength and resilience. I think we all deserve the chance to realize our strengths, to make sense of our experiences, and to find personally meaningful ways to move forward.
I am currently a master of counselling psychology candidate with Athabasca University and I am working towards registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, emotion regulation, caregiver-child dynamics, and difficulties within relationships. I practice using a client-centred, meaning-focused approach that also draws from elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, attachment, and emotion-focused therapy.
What I value most about counselling is connecting with so many incredible people. I greatly appreciate being alongside others as they recognize and build on their strengths and come to personal realizations. I am grateful for the privilege of being a part of how each person moves towards their vision of wellness.
