I work with clients on a variety of issues including low self-esteem, anxiety, stress, depression, grief and life transitions. I also use my 20+ years’ experience in Human Resources in the Corporate world to assist clients with issues of workplace stress and anxiety.
My personal style as a therapist is one of heart centered warmth, compassion, kindness, along with a gentle humor. I am at my core a relationship builder and believe strongly in the power of human connection. I use a holistic approach with my clients of psychodynamic therapy, positive psychology, emotion focused therapy and body (somatic work). I also use mind/body techniques such as guided visualization and mindfulness. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy – in open dialogue with my clients we collaboratively decide on the best approach for them. My clients wants and needs are always listened to and taken into account.
Seeing a therapist and doing the hard work involved, takes courage and commitment. I get that, as part of my own life journey I too have walked the walk. It is my honor to be part of my client’s journey. It is my belief that feeling at ease & comfortable with your therapist is a large predictor of success in the therapist/client relationship & therapeutic outcome.
